the 64th primetime emmy awards

on sunday, 23 september, the primetime emmy's, the nights of all nights, where all the stars come out to shine, were the glitter and the gucci shine, the guess who is rocking the chanel, but it must be cold in L.A because burberry was brought out by christian dior and dolce&gabbana coats. (she what i did there? no, ok awkward)

here's our top 5 best and worst dressed!

BEST DRESSED:
1) Jessica Pare in Jason Wu gown is two words, absolutely flawless!

2) Actress Sarah Paulson, has probably the prettiest dress of the evening, by Reem Acra. The color is fantastic, the fit is perfect and the detailing is precisely understated.

3) "Mad Men"this Zac Posen design incorporates both sharp angles and big, round curves, and looks light as a feather.

4)Actress Hayden Panettiere is only 5-foot-2 and has the devil of a time finding formal wear that masks her diminutive stature. She hit a home run with this Marchesa gown that makes her look at least six inches taller.

5)Sarah Hyland from "Modern Family" simply looks sweet in this gown of uncertain origin, and the 21-year-old actress' hair and minimal accessories are perfect.

WORST DRESSED:

1)Archie Panjabi, in a Randi Rahm creation, is a maelstrom of satin, over-draped and over-styled.
2) Actress Glenn Close looks like she's wearing a suit on top and a gown down at the bottom.

3) Martha Plimpton's homage to wrought iron looks like a Bourbon Street balcony.

4) Christine Baranski well she thought she was going to an after-party. This dress isn't formal enough for the event or for her age.

5)This is a textbook example of how not to handle voluptuousness. Actress Kat Dennings may be the star of "2 Broke Girls" but here she looks like "1 Clueless Girl" in a J.Mendel gown that tells too much of a story and is topped off by lipstick that's too intense and just-woke-up hair.

Inspiration : Elie Saab

An early vocation...

says the head title of the biographical page of this Libanian designer on his website.
Born in 1964, in Beyrouth, (Beirut) Elie Saab found out about his vocation pretty early, considering at only 9, he started sewing clothes for his sister. He also used to sell the clothes he made to the ladies in his neighborhood. A few years later, at 18, he opens his sewing workshop, still in his hometown. After being requested to introduce one of his collections on a runaway in Paris in 2000, he moved there seven years later and Elie Saab is now the man we know for designing magnificient dresses that celebrities are fond of wearing on the Red Carpet and for any other occasion.
